Hi there!
I'm Shylee, a proud mom of two wonderful kids and the heart behind the dog ranch, our cozy, family owned and operated dog boarding business located in the foothills of whatcom county. I've always had a passion for 4 legged critters, which still serves as my inspiration to run this accommodating place, where your dogs get to enjoy spacious rooms to play and relax. Operating on a smaller scale allows me to better focus on each dog's unique needs and preferences, ensuring that every pup feels like part of our family during their stay.
With a background in veterinary medicine as a former assistant, I bring valuable experience to my role here at the dog ranch. I get to provide a safe and nurturing environment for all of my 4-legged guests. I am genuinely grateful for the opportunity to run this business, as it not only allows me the flexibility in my schedule but it also allows me to connect with all of you! here at the dog ranch, your pups aren't just another name on my books - they are family!

We know that sometimes life takes you on extended adventures, and were here to ensure your pup enjoys a home away from home! This is a fantastic option for those long trips, allowing your pups to relax, play, and make new friends while receiving all the love and care they deserve from our dedicated team. Your canine companion will have plenty to do here at the dog ranch!
Our extended stays become the best chore helpers and personal buddies!

OUR FACILITY
DOG YARD
10,000 sq ft double gated and fully secured! In summer, pups enjoy shade tents and pools, while winter brings obstacles and PNW weather. The yard can be enjoyed solo, with a friend or with a few.
We prioritize play for social dogs, ensuring a fun experience for weekend or extended stays. By assessing temperaments, we match them with suitable playmates, fostering happiness through playtime!
GROUP PLAY
LARGE STALL
12 by 12 ft space; set it up however you'd like! Bring a bed, blanket, toys & treats. Your pup can have it all while enjoying there own accomodating space here.
SMALL STALL
4 ft by 6 ft; perfect for small breed dogs or single dogs during peak seasons. These cozy spaces ensure no nose-to-nose contact and your pup is still welcome to have whatever you'd like to help them feel at home.
INDIVIDUAL PLAY
At our facility, some dogs enjoy extra space alone. We provide individual playtime, strolls, yard relaxation, and individual time to keep them comfortable during their stay.
DOG HALL
Our end of the barn, where dogs enjoy ample space and excellent airflow. They freely roam while maintaining privacy and a view from the top of the stall, preventing nose-to-nose contact.

FACILITY REQUIREMENTS
1. UP TO DATE RABIES VACCINE
This policy helps protect your pup, our staff, and fellow canine guests. Please ensure vaccination records are submitted before arrival to avoid any delays in your reservation.
2. Food & MEDICATION
Pack food and medications in airtight containers.
Label each container with your dog's name and feeding instructions.
For medications, keep them in original packaging and include clear dosage instructions.
3. collars with tags
Safety is our top priority. Tags ensure that every pup is easily identifiable, helping us provide personalized care and ensuring a quick reunion if an unexpected situation arises.
A simple tag can make all the difference in keeping your pup safe and giving you peace of mind while they enjoy their time with us!
4. SUBMIT YOUR REQUESTS ONLINE
All boarding requests must be submitted online.
If our facility is at capacity, your request will be automatically added to our waitlist, and we’ll notify you if a spot opens up.
If we're temporarily closed, requests won’t be processed until we reopen.
Please allow up to one business day for responses.

Leashing your dog during drop-off and pick-up hours is crucial to maintaining harmony and safety in this communal environment. It helps prevent conflicts between dogs, ensures the safety of all visitors, and respects the shared nature of the space.
